70's Plastic to Fantastic

For only $50 I picked up these tall and long matching dressers made by Sears. These solid pieces had good bones but also that 1970's plasticky look. Time for a quick makeover!
Here we go! Cleaning the piece and repairing drawers was the first task. All the drawer guides and tracks had been removed so I had to find them and fix them.
When I removed the drawer pulls I realized they were solid brass, nice surprise!
The brass hardware is 8 " by 3". I didn't want bright brass but just to highlight the edges. So I attempted to clean them. The brass cleaner I bought did nothing. Brillo pads worked fine but took a lot of muscle.
So then I primed it with Zinser Primer, painted it with Annie Sloan Paris Gray and put a coat of Min Wax Finishing Wax on it. It truly transformed the piece. In fact, I liked it so much I finished the matching long dresser into a bench. Here it is with some nice decorative pillows:
