How to Hide the Cable Box

There is an easy way for you to hide the ugly cable box. It's called an IR adapter, or IR receiver kit.
This is a device that plugs into the cable box on one side and has a small "eye" on the other side that your remote control transmits to.
With these kits, you can hide the cable box in a cabinet or closet. Only the "eye" needs to be visible.
Our cable box is in the closet (shown above) and we drilled a small hole at the top of it to put the eye through. No more ugly cable boxes! You can read more details about how we did it on my blog.
