DIY Busy Board - The Perfect Toddler Activity

Need something to keep your toddler busy? This busy board can easily be made with supplies you already have at home! Be creative with it!
Select a board. This is pine shelving, 18x20”. You could use plywood or any other type of wood boards you have.
Sand smooth and paint design (optional). I used acrylic paints from the Dollar Store, latex would work well too.
Let dry.
Secure hardware or fidget type toys to the board. Most items are screwed. This door stopper is a hit, but make sure to glue the end because it can come off.
For the light switch and door handle, drill a hole part way or all the way through the board to allow it to move/turn once secured.
The options are endless on what you can add. Mirrors, knobs, door handles, buckles, Velcro, things that turn, light switches, etc! All the materials we used, we had a home!
When adding the zipper, I stapled at the top and bottom only to allow for movement. Make sure to check each item that you can still move it once it’s secured to the board.
When installing on the wall, ensure to screw into a stud so it is secure!
