Ever wonder how to fold a fitted sheet? My mom taught all of us when we were kids, but my friends always ask me how I do it, so I decided to make a quick and easy how-to guide to explain folding a fitted sheet.
Here’s my friend trying to fold a fitted sheet - she's having a really hard time! Instead of watching her suffer through it, I rescued the poor woman and folded up the sheet myself. Here's how!

Step 1: Fold in Half
I folded the sheet in half lengthwise as neatly as possible.
I then took one of the top corners facing me and turned it inside out (just the corner).
I took the inside out corner and tucked it into the corner underneath it, making sure to tuck in any of the top and sides that didn’t get tucked with the corners.
Then I did the same thing with the opposite corners, so that I had a tucked edge with the seam on top in a "U" shape facing me.
Once I had the sheet folded like this, I straightened out the creases to get it as flat as possible.
Next I folded my sheet into thirds width-wise, so that it was a long column.
That gave me nice, neat sides, which were already looking much more manageable.
Then I folded the sheet into thirds length-wise to give me a sharp top and bottom edge.
And there you have a perfectly folded fitted sheet! How beautiful does that look?
