Jun 13, 2014 - Posts about Clean your peephole written by Camryne. ... Being able to see who's on the other side of the door is rather important to me, but my peephole view was half ... It didn't even remove the cobwebs/dusty stuff inside.
Try using cotton swabs and toothpicks to get the grime out.
The peep hole is two parts like two tubes screwed together for the door thickness. It unscrews from the inside. On the inside part it should have slots for a screwdriver, knife, or putty knife. Unscrew the inside and make sure you hold the outside part or it can spin. Pop both inside and outside parts out of the door. Then you can clean the lenses with Q-Tips and rubbing alcohol. Put it together in reverse.
Q tip swabs and lens cleaner or diluted vinegar, soft clean cloth on the q-tip to wipe away streaks
If you're talking bout in side of it, depends on what it's sealed with some are one piece and others are inside a knocker, but they can be pried out and replaced with a seal. Just make sure you replace it the same way you take it out or they will be looking at you instead of you looking at them. Probably just need a new one if you can't see thru it at all, may be sun damage.
