if you are wanting to refresh the appearance I suggest power washing then spray them wi bleach water to fade the stains
Hi, I used a friend's extension pressure washer with a bendable sprayer nozzle. They are usually offered at tool rentals. Give it a try at your local tool rental.
A tall ladder, a bucket, rubber gloves, a big trash bag and a pressure hose. Start at one end and work toward the drain. Place the big trash bag over the drain at the ground to catch the yucky stuff. Pick out as much debris as you can and put in bucket(s). Use the pressure hose to wash the rest toward the drain part. Continue picking up as much debris as you can along the way. The more often you do this gutter cleaning, the easier it is. I try to do it every 3-4 months. Good luck. Nasty job!
Spray hose with a power washer attachment
Use a bent hook type fitment to the end of the nozel. Should be available to buy!
We pressure washed ours and the following day we painted them and they look like new!
Cleaning gutters with a pressure washer can be effective and efficient. Start by securing a stable ladder and wearing safety gear, always! Use a low-pressure nozzle to avoid damaging the gutters, and work systematically from one end to the other. Then, push debris toward the downspout and clear any clogs. I recently came across some helpful tips on this EGC website that specializes in gutter cleaning - definitely worth checking out for more detailed guidance! Happy cleaning!
Bend a pipe or buy fixing for gutters and attach it to end.
