Try using ModPodge, but remember it will make it a little more difficult to remove when the time comes.
Another vote for Modpodge, since it is technically a glue, removal eventually will be a bit tougher.
The best suggestion is to use ModPodge. It is available in different sheens and you can select the shiny. You can apply it with one of those sponge brushes so you won't need to cover all of the areas as you would with a spray product.
