What Are Your Favorite Christmas Craft Ideas for Children?

I’m trying to keep the kids busy this holiday season with some fun Christmas craft activities.

Does anyone have simple and creative ideas for crafts that kids can actually do themselves (with minimal adult help)? Bonus points if they make good gifts or decorations!

The grandkids (most any age) enjoy making clay ornaments and decorating them. Plus, they can make personalized gifts for all the family and their friends. There are many easy recipes on line and you can either bake them or let dry for a few days. They can be simple or as sophisticated as the maker wants to make them. Great memory keepers by adding names and dates for the individual. They can be kept year to year to create a fun traadition in your family.

One of my all time favorites is making ornaments. I love the clear ornaments and they can put keepsakes, photos, glitter, limited only by their imagination and the tiny hole in the top.

Use white socks and rubberbands to make 3 sections. It becomes a snowman, The top of the sock ends up being a hat. You will need googly eyes, ribbon, buttons and mabe a toy broom. You can find all of that in the $$ Store.

Hi Candice: I like making things with chenille stems. Here are a couple sites that have some great ideas:
