Personalized wreaths are big in our family this year! You can use a purchased wreath or create whatever size wreath you wish from purchased garland wrapped around a wire hanger that's been shaped into a circle, and then add a hand-painted initialed monogram. Tese could be hung on bedroom doors to add to your home's holiday decor. The wreaths can be as simple or as glam as you want by sorting through some of your previously used holiday stash. Bells, baubles, ribbons, pine cones, etc., etc. The monogram could be created out of cardboard, chipboard, light-weight luan, or purchased from a store such as $Tree. It's fun to create several at one time and if you work quickly these could be made and dispersed to family members after Thanksgiving dinner.
At the moment am too busy doing other things to be able o do crafts, BUT I want to make a Soldier or two out of Toilet and Kitchen roll centres as soon as I can.

Hi, Amy... I've been sharing my holiday decor and diy craft projects on my blog, homeward found decor, for twelve years now. I focus on using what we already have at home and giving it a new look, as well as using what's in the recycle bin! Paint, paper, and sweaters are my favorite materials to work with (I created the Original Sweet Sweater Pumpkins back in 2007 ;) )

Happy Holidays! ~ Deb
Every year I make our holiday cards. I do an image search online for DIY cards then adapt ideas from there and seek out budget friendly ways to accomplish them.
Wreaths are my favorite but I have so many decorations that I have been giving them away.
I’ve been busy making everyone Advent Calendars this year. You can check out the one I made for my Mom here. http://crystalsandcleats.com/2024/11/15/a-very-merry-christmas-advent-calendar-diy/
Hi Amy, I love making my own tree ornaments using Dollarama supplies, the clear bulbs, faux pine , glitter and faux snow. I also like to make the little red truck using a metal truck, a faux pine tree and rope. (string) I tie the tree to the truck and spray it with faux snow, let that dry and clear coat with a matte spray. My Fave!
HI Amy: I'm doing scenes in clear plastic bulbs, using popsicle sticks to construct a fireplace inside of the bulb (sort of like a ship in a bottle) and gluing the pieces together inside of the bulb. Before making the back of the fireplace, I put the pieces together (dry fit) and painted a fire on them. Then, they went inside of the bulb along with a mantel. On top of the mantel I used small beads as candle holders and toothpicks as candles with a bit of coloured cotton as fire. Then I put in a small dog, a tree and some small gifts around the tree and then finished it off with some of that iridescent Buffalo snow. Very time consuming, but fun :) And, I sold them at a craft fair for a pretty penny! :) I also made some pop up cards and candy cane reindeer.
Hi Aimee, I am addicted to making Christmas decorations, I make the clear baubles with items inside, I make Christmas wreaths, I make diamond painting Christmas decorations for the tree.
