Keep your eyes open when going through Commercial areas or look on your local online sales market.
Put an ad in your local free paper or check most businesses that stock freight.
Check with local stores. They often give them away.
Give some of your local stores a call and ask if they will give them to you and when would be a good time to stop by to pick them up. Also, ask if they know of any other places that might have them available for free. Neighborhood websites such as craigslist, Nextdoor and Facebook Marketplace may have them listed in the "free" section.
Many stores give them away. You just have to ask.
Hi Lynda, hope this helps. you can check home stores like Lowes, they often give pallets to customers. Also check these,
Smaller local grocery stores.
That sounds like a really cool project, Lynda! I’ve used pallets for some outdoor projects myself, and they’re definitely a good way to keep costs down. You can often find them for free or cheap on places like Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. Just make sure to treat the wood to keep it from rotting. I’ve painted or stained mine before, which helps it last longer and gives it a nice look.
Dumped side road or left in gardens. Advertise for them, on Industrial sites - Ask first.
