STOP Throwing Away Broken Christmas Decor: FIX THEM With Sugru!

It’s inevitable. At some point a Christmas mug, ornament, or stocking hanger is going to break. Oftentimes Christmas decorations cannot be easily fixed because of the many little pieces that break off or shatter. However, I found the perfect fix for them!
Sugru mouldable glue is the world’s first mouldable glue. It can be moulded into any shape and permanently sticks to a wide variety of surfaces. Also, it comes in tons of fun colors! Let me show you how I used it to fix three broken Christmas decorations.
Broken Mug: Fixed!
This mug broke and wasn’t easy to fix with glue since little shards of ceramic were missing.
I had fun using red Sugru mouldable glue to create a candy cane design around the mug handle. First I secured the broken pieces with the mouldable glue. Then I rolled out a thin strand of mouldable glue and wrapped it around the handle. The mouldable glue was super simple to use: mess-free and easy to shape. I had 30 minutes to work with it before it started to set.
Now I have a fixed mug AND an upgraded design!
Sugru mouldable glue is waterproof and dishwasher safe so after the glue is completely set (in 12-24 hours), I can wash this mug in the dishwasher. I’ll want to just put warm beverages in this mug, not scalding hot liquids, in case the mouldable glue isn’t applied perfectly.
Missing Hook on Stocking Hanger: Fixed!
I was missing a hook on one of my stocking hangers. I assume it fell off somewhere and accidentally got thrown away. However, don’t worry. Sugru mouldable glue can be moulded into a new hook for this!
First I moulded white Sugru mouldable glue into a hook shape similar to the hooks on the other stocking hangers. Then I stuck it onto the broken hanger.
Take a look at the repaired stocking hanger. You can’t even tell the difference between this hook made of mouldable glue and the other hooks! I was amazed at how closely they match. This glue can hold up to 4.4 lbs in weight so it should work well for a stocking to hang on.
Broken Ornament: Fixed!
The top of this ornament broke off, making it impossible to hang on a Christmas tree. Since it broke in a very thin area of the ornament, it was challenging to glue back on with just standard glue. Sugru mouldable glue to the rescue!
I rolled a very thin piece of white Sugru mouldable glue and then formed it into a tiny circle. Next I pushed it onto the top of the ornament.
It fit perfectly and blended in well, making the ornament look brand new again!

Unsure I would describe for everything..just stuff that really means something to me. But I love that an option open for those times that more than favorite broken…sometimes it’s a piece of your heart breaks too. Thanks for sharing

I have used the Sugru product many times now & I'm always impressed! Several coffee mugs have been returned to service after fixing the handles. No problem with repeated dishwasher washings. I've also repaired several pottery items used in my yard decor - nothing has ever rebroken... Even after remaining outside in the winter snow & freezing temps. 👍😁👍
